NYFW: butter LONDON for Creatures of the Wind & Tadashi Shoji

Katie Jane Hughes led the butter LONDON team through another NYFW full of fashion-forward nail looks.

At Creatures of the Wind, a simple yet bold design was inspired by the hippie-meets-punk vibe of the collection. Four nail colors were assigned to models based on their look: Cotton Buds, Skive (new for Spring 2016), Union Jack Black, and Cheeky Chops. For toes, Hughes used two coats of Union Jack Black.

At Tadashi Shoji, the nail look incorporated pale colors and a soft ombre to reflect Tadashi’s blooming nostalgia and whispers of a Japanese garden. To get the look, Hughes applied one coat of Nail Foundation. She then used an ombre brush dipped in cotton buds to sweep it across the top of the nail. She repeated the process with Muggins and again with Molly Coddles, then finished with top coat for a soft yet shiny finish. For toes, Pink Ribbon and Nude Stilettos were used.
