London College of Beauty Therapy (LCBT) raised approximately £1,000 at its Guinness World Records attempt in May benefitting two charities: Rays of Sunshine and The Eve Appeal. Students at the central London College worked for eight hours to complete 2,219 mini-manicures. LCBT was the first to ever set the record for the most nails filed and varnished in eight hours back in 2010 with 1,897 mini-manicures and are pleased to have raised so much money for two very worthy causes while beating its original record.

Students were privileged to work alongside celebrity nail technician Andrea Fulerton, while special guests Aston and JB from boy band JLS also took part in the challenge. “This event was about giving our learners the opportunity to be part of something that they would never usually have been able to experience,” says Eileen Cavalier, CEO of LCBT. “Taking part in a Guinness World Records attempt will look great on their CVs when they qualify and seek employment.”
