Cosmopolitan's July 2012 issue shares three easy nail ideas to jazz up your client's fingertips for summer.
1. Nail Sprinkles - The latest innovation, according to Cosmo, makes nails look like they've been dipped in Funfetti.
Use a kit, like Ciate Caviar Manicure, that comes with sprinkles and base color. Shake some sprinkles onto a paper plate or napkin. Then working one nail at a time, apply two thin coats of the base hue and immediately roll your nail into the sprinkles, which stick to the base.
2. Magnetic Polish - Newer magnetic polishes come in interesting patterns, like fishnet, as well as colors, like green, and fuchsia.
Apply a coat to all fingers. Then one at a time, apply a second coat and hold the magnet over the nail for 10 seconds while it draws the paint's metallic particles to the surface.
3. The Half-Neon, Half-Nude Mani - Inspired by the fashion trend of mixing brights with neutrals, this mani makes florescent hues universally wearable. The beige tempers the neon, so it looks softer, almost candy-like.
Start with two coats of nude polish. Once dry, alternate neon pink, orange, and yellow, like Essie's Bazooka, onto the top half of tips. For a crisp line, use barrier gel on the halfway point pre-neon.
