Finland may lay claim to the title “cell phone capital of the world,” but we think nail tech Tina Daley’s comer of the United Kingdom may well quality as the cell phone art capital. When Daley, owner of London’s RiTchina Nail Art Supplies, airbrushed pink details on her firs cell phone in 1984, it was a novel idea. But now, she says, almost everyone gets their phone covers airbrushed and even buys accessories to match “A phone takes me about 20 minutes to airbrush from start to finish. I usually airbrush about 50 phones per day to any specification required,” she says, if that sounds like a lot, it is. Daley works from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. fitting in the phones between nail art and full sets. She charges between $15-$25 per phone depending on the complexity of the design. “I just love doing the work, I have art mania in my blood,” she says.
