First annual nail show set for San Francisco

The first annual San Francisco All Manicurist Show, scheduled for February 13 and 14, is shaping up very nicely, according to the organizers. The show, to take place in the Hyatt Hotel in Union Square, San Francisco, promises exhibitors, special show prices, latest techniques in nail wrapping and sculpturing, private classrooms, skin care class, latest equipment, mail art competition and hair removal systems. And to sweeten the pot, the organizers, Budget Beauty Supply in Sacramento, have established a first place award of a gold nail necklace with approximately one karat diamond. Second place is $300, third place is $200. Entrance fee for the contest is $40, with all work to be completed prior to the show. Nails must be sculptured or tipped, and any type of nail painting or designs is allowed. No decals permitted. Tickets for the two day event will be available at the door for $30, a fee that covers entrance for both days.
