CND, the maker of Shellac, releases Vinylux, a weekly polish system that unites fashion and technology with fast application, week-long wear, and easy removal in 62 fashion-forward shades. Launching in May 2013, the system includes a self-adhering Color Coat that eliminates the need for Base Coat and a Top Coat that becomes more durable with exposure to natural light due to new ProLight Technology. When tested in hundreds of manicures, 80% of consumers reported no chips in seven days of wear. No UV lamp is used with this polish system, and it is removed with acetone-based polish remover in seconds.
