In our February issue, I asked you to help NAILS by completing and returning our reader survey, which we will be using over the course of the year to help us better address your concerns, to help industry marketers better understand you, and to help you better understand your clients and how to build your business.

We’ll also be using a lot of this new material in our 1992 Fact Book & Buyer’s Directory, which you will receive in June. And, you can look forward to seeing the nail industry’s first salary survey next month in NAILS. You’ll learn how much money your nail care colleagues are making in other parts of the country (and right around the corner), but most important, you’ll learn how the big money-makers are doing it.

I’d also like to thank the very generous manufacturers who contributed their products as drawing prizes to help us generate involvement and excitement for this important industry research. Congratulations to these prize winners.

A Salon Lacquer Display from OPI Products goes to Kelly Chute of Vancouver, Wash. The Star Nail Products’ Natural Nail Kapping System goes to Elisa Belusic of Miami, Fla. A Soft Light 454GL from IBD goes to Lisa DiCroce of Schiller Park, Ill.

Becky Bartos of Kingsville, Md., has won a lipstick and nail polish retail display unit from Forsythe Cosmetic Group. And the winner of an NSI liquid and powder system is Thuy B. Do of Gaithersburg, Md.

Rosalie Ellicott of Pocono Summit, Pa., Phylliss Cassidy of East Taunton, Mass., Jill Stone of Phoenix, Ariz., Julia Schmaltz of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Peggy Fox of Gilbert, Ariz., all will receive a free year’s subscription to NAILS.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this project such a success, and to those of you who weren’t able to get your survey in, we’re still interested in your thoughts, so please write to us, call us, or stop by our booth at the next show.
