The five-day intensive training course at Terri Lundberg’s Nail Technician Mentoring Institute is not for everybody. “It’s a Tylenol and Turns kind of week,” says Lundberg. “It’s only for technicians who are serious about this business and about making the income they need.” A 16-year veteran of the nail industry, Lundberg created the program to teach technicians how to be a cut above. “So many nail techs make nails that are just OK. But anyone can make awesome nails with the right training. It’s the eyes that make the mistakes, not the hands,’ she says. Lundberg uses a technique called ‘illusion training” to teach the technician to see correctly and make perfect nails every time. She offers the hands-on workshop throughout Minnesota and will travel within the U.S for groups of 10 or more.
