This year marks the 15th anniversary for EZ Flow Nail Systems, whose company was founded by David Daniel and his nephew, Danny Haile. A nostalgic Daniel reminisces about 1986—the year the company was born: “EZ Flow was founded on the basis of pure education. Danny and I were working as nail techs in our family’s chain of beauty salons and our teaching grew from there. As for products, all we had in the beginning was an acrylic liquid, powder, and primer.” Education is so important to the company that in honor of the company’s milestone they created a new motto: “Making a difference one class at a time.”
Nationally, the company has more than 120 educators. “We try to educate on a nail technician-to-nail technician basis and try to cut through the marketing and give them a strong, education,” he says. Today, EZ Flow manufactures more than six lines and has plans to grow even more within the next 10 years. “We recently signed on with a rep group that should double our business by putting our products in the largest distributors in the country,” says Daniel. “Our goal is to have the number-one acrylic system in the world based on education.”

In 1990, the company went international and is now distributed in 30 countries, notably in Norway, South Africa, Russia, and Korea.

“You wouldn’t think of these countries as being strong for our industry, but I would say the nail industry is going to double globally in the next five years,” says Daniel. And as for EZ Flow’s future? The company has outgrown its current location in Stanton, Calif., and plans to move into a 25,000-square-foot facility in the next few months. “It’s been a long road for us,” says Daniel. “But it’s only getting better.”
