Now celebrating its 30th year in business, Forsythe Cosmetics Group was founded in 1979 by husband and wife team, Buddy and Harriet Rose. Combining Buddy’s talent for sales and Harriet’s creativity, Forsythe was one of the first beauty companies to recognize and address the needs of the professional nail salon. Aspiring to fill this void, the two began producing high-quality nail lacquers formulated exclusively for professional nail technicians.

Three decades later, Forsythe has grown into a fully integrated nail and cosmetics manufacturer with resources for quality control and product development. The company manufactures every product it offers itself — an advantage that ensures a quick response to beauty trends, on-trend color selections, and unique and eye-catching packaging.

Known for exceptionally safe products made with the best raw materials and a long list of industry firsts, Forsythe produces such high-performance lines as Color Club and Art Club, two of the fastest growing brands in the industry. Forsythe is also a leader in private label cosmetics.
Color Club is a major contender in the professional nail lacquer/treatment category. The line consists of 156 shades — from its core selection of French manicure/cremes/frosts to trendy shades of brights and glitters. The long-wearing toluene-, formaldehyde-, and DBP-free formula is merchandised in award-winning, contemporary displays, which are fixtures in top nail studios internationally.
In 2007, after years of research and development, the Color Club Professional Nail Treatment product line was redesigned and re-launched becoming an instant success.
Art Club Professional Nail Art, a nail enhancement line, consists of everything from sprinkles and gems to seashell wraps and decals. The brand is constantly evolving, adding more unique colors and themed nail art kits. Both Color Club and Art Club are introducing new collections for Fall 2009.
“Forsythe Cosmetic Group is a family business with a large loyal staff that considers Forsythe their home,” says Harriet Rose. Recently, Buddy and Harriet’s son, Michael Rose, joined the company as director of sales. Forsythe has purchased a new state-of-the-art facility and has updated the manufacturing machinery to increase production capabilities to a minimum of 48 million units per year.
