For over half a century, Gena Laboratories, Inc. has manufactured quality, professional beauty products. The Dallas based company was purchased by Howard F. Black and Don Cottam in 1979 and has experienced dramatic sales growth each successive year. Prior to the purchase, Gena was primarily known for its Adios products of Nail Polish Removers, Warm-O-Lotion and Warm-O-Later Manicure Heaters.

In an effort to keep up with the increasing demand for their products, Gena has recently moved into a new 20,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. “Our new, modern lab offers superior research and development capabilities and the opportunity to create new and innovative nail and hair care products,” said Don Cottam, co-owner of Gena.

A few of their new products include Nail Dry, Glue Dri and Tip Glazing. Co-owner Howard F. Black added, “Our research department has developed several new products. And, we’re anxious to introduce them to the professional beauty industry as soon as possible.”
