Hauk’s road to success has taken some interesting turns. As a construction worker in Dayton, Ohio, he was more likely to hammer nails than to paint them. His interest into the nail industry was sparked when fie took notice of a family member complaining about the lack of service she received at a local nail salon. He recognized that women were seeking salons that would provide exceptional service using the highest-quality products and decided to follow his entrepreneurial hunch Hauk enrolled in a local nail technology school and opened his own salon shortly thereafter. To date, Hauk has earned more than 70 trophies from major nail competitions.
