New York City-based nail tech Naomi Gonzalez-Longstaff (@naomignails) has plenty to brag about. She’s a salon entrepreneur, educator, and editorial session nail designer who works with many international fashion brands. Now, through her Artistry mentoring program, she’ll help you develop brag-worthy skills.
Artistry is an innovative mentoring and professional development program designed to provide selected participants with insights into the technical and business skills needed to become an in-demand nail professional. The four-week structured program includes weekly instructional units and assignments conducted through a virtual port as well as one-on-one mentoring and coaching sessions. Topics include understanding the creative process, design conceptualization, nail art, science and chemistry, technique, and marketing and PR strategies.

Gonzalez-Longstaff created these nails for designer Marianna Jungmann during London’s Fashion Week in September 2014.
Instruction is limited to groups of six to eight participants. “This format has opened up opportunities for nail professionals worldwide not only to learn from each other, but also provides a great networking and support chain once the course is completed,” says Gonzalez-Longstaff.
The program is open to techs of all skill levels who pass the selection process, which includes submitting photos of your work and having a phone and Skype interview. Contact bookings@freelancetheworkspace.com for more information.
