Nailco Sponsors First Annual International Show in Michigan

The First Annual International Nail Show sponsored by Nailco of Farmington Hills, Michigan, was held in Dearborn on September 28 and 29.

The show was open only to nail technicians, salon owners and students. More than 3000 showed up to view the new techniques and products featured by over 60 manufacturers, and to attend their choice of 25 different educational classes.

Nail sculpturing, overlay and art competitions were held at the show, with more than 110 contestants participating. Fifteen trophies and medallions were given away, along with $2700 in prize money. Larry Gaynor, owner of Nailco, and the Nailco staff announced winners as follows:

PROFESSIONAL SCULPTURED NAILS: First, Lisa Wright: second, April Pinderski; third, Pamela McKee.

STUDENT SCULPTURED NAILS: First, Karen Nath; second, Cindy Nichols: third, Josephine Zuziak.

NAIL ART: First, Delores Messina; second, Katherine Solomon; third, Lynette Brink.
