That’s me and nail tech Linda Prida!

That’s me and nail tech Linda Prida!

When I was in Las Vegas this summer for Cosmoprof , I booked a pedicure with Linda Prida at Marsilio & Co. Salon. As a booth renter, Prida operates out of her own private room that is equipped for both skin care and pedicures with walls adorned with Hawaii memorabilia and signs urging her clients to “relax.”

The salon is located in an industrial warehouse just a few miles away from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip.

The salon, located in an industrial area about 10 minutes from the famous Las Vegas Strip, has been open for 13 years, and it boasts a large retail area in the front where purses, jewelry, scarves, and other boutique items take up space beside hair and skin care retail items. Booth renters at Marsilio & Co. receive a commission on any retail items they sell.

Prida, who also does facials and waxing, performs her specialized pedicures in a facial chair in a private room.

Licensed for 23 years, Prida specializes in pedicures. (She also offers natural nail manicures, but she doesn’t do any enhancements or gel-polish services.) She’s a level two reiki practitioner, and she also created a special service called Pedikarma, an ayurvedic foot rejuvenation service that is designed to balance a client’s chakras.

I had a quick foot soak in this copper pedicure bowl before jumping up in the comfortable facial chair for my “It’s Not Just a Pedicure” service.

Her main pedicure service is called It’s Not Just a Pedicure, and it’s designed as an hour and half “journey.” Prida performs the service in a dimly lit room with relaxing music. The client reclines in a facial chair, which allows Prida to work her pedicure magic at a comfortable level.

The retail area at Marsilio & Co. Salon includes a “boutique” room full of purses, jewelry, and scarves.

An educator for Footlogix, she uses Footlogix’s complete line, including the exfoliating seaweed scrub, which I loved. (Unfortunately, I was running to a dinner meeting and she had to do an abbreviated service on me. But I can still attest that the service name rings true.)
