With 30 locations nationwide, this landmark salon and spa can be found at only the most elegant resorts. The Red Door Spa housed in Litchfield Park, Ariz., is the furthest west of this chain.  

Retail is a huge part of Red Door’s interior with the latest Essie lines accounting for the nail section.

> Red Door Spas are known for an all-encompassing spa menu that includes skin care, massage and body treatments, nail care, hair design, and makeup. This particular location highlights facials and hair care as its most popular services.

> Founded in 1910 by day spa pioneer Elizabeth Arden, each location has an iconic red door to welcome guests.

Travel gave me a multi-hued manicure using Essie Watercolors.

> This Red Door location is in the process of transitioning over to using all Essie products. Currently, they only have polish, including the Watercolor collection.

An outdoor jacuzzi sits on the second floor for clients who want to relax outdoors.

Spa amenities include dining, private pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna.

> One of the perks of booking a nail appointment here is that clients get access to the entire spa for a whole day, even if they schedule just one service.

Five pedicure stations line the wall of the nail area. Six nail techs work at the spa and many service local regulars, not just tourists.

> Signature services at the Red Door Spa include the Milk & Honey Manicure, Red Door Signature Manicure, and Watermelon Basiltini Manicure.

This particular location offers nail art with an emphasis on sports since many guests come to Arizona for baseball spring training.
