The Nail Bar isn’t shy about its zip code. When travelers and locals alike walk into the salon wanting a good taste of Beverly Hills, Calif., they’ve come to the right place. You may recognize the Beverly Wilshire hotel from the movie “Pretty Woman.” Or maybe you heard it was the temporary residence of Elvis Presley, John Lennon, or Warren Beatty. You can see famous shopping strip Rodeo Drive from the salon’s outdoor Cabana-style waiting lounge, and movies like “Pretty Woman,” “Confessions of a Shopaholic,” and “Troop Beverly Hills” play inside on a loop.
Many recognize the hotel's iconic exterior from films including "Pretty Woman."
For being located at the heart of such a bustling area with a bad parking reputation, the Nail Bar is pure convenience. For one, valet parking is complimentary! You can also order from the salon’s lunch menu, and if your nail appointment is 60 minutes or longer, you’re granted access to the pool down the hall. Celebrity sightings are the norm here, so curtains can be drawn to conceal the salon if privacy is your thing.

Four nail techs work the intimate space of the Nail Bar. My appointment was with Giannina Pinnell, an industry veteran of 14 years. She said the salon’s most common service is the CND Shellac mani/pedi, and the most luxurious service is the Diamond Pedicure, which utilizes real diamond-dust. The salon gets tons of international clients, bridal parties, and girls’ weekends out. Services range from $15 for French polish to $175 for the Diamond Pedicure.
The Nail Bar shares a floor with the hotel's general spa and pool.
