Notoriety ... recognition ... getting the word out ... that is an important aspect of running a successful salon. But so is product availability: That is, the ability to get the products you need when you need them.

Notoriety ... recognition ... getting the word out ... that is an important aspect of running a successful salon. But so is product availability: That is, the ability to get the products you need when you need them.

From a product supply point of view, the two are interrelated. The promotion of products to different audiences often means that that product is more readily available. The recognition and notoriety of a company and product helps its sale, which puts it in markets where the nail technician can more easily find it.

That is exactly our goal on an industry level. In an effort to help “get the word out” on the nail industry more fully, to assist product availability, we will expand our circulation in the distributor/dealer segment of the beauty industry to cover every dealer in the United States.

The reason is quite simple, as is the benefit: Notoriety, recognition. The dealers/distributors must be aware of what is happening in the nail industry so that they in turn can service your needs and wants.

It is our belief that showing the quality of companies that supply nail products, and the sophistication of the nail technician and salon owner, the dealer will be in a better position to make decisions as to the number and type of products they offer you.

This circulation step by NAILS, scheduled for January 1987, is an important one both for the nail technician and nail industry in general. But our expansion into this area will not eliminate or reduce our subscription drives in the salon area: Rather it should show our dedication to be the most effective publication in the beauty industry.

By helping give the nail industry and the nail technician/salon owner the recognition they deserve, we all benefit. And it’s just a matter of getting the word out.
