Nail tech and salon owner Tashina “Poochie” Green received a surprise visit from Harry Connick, Jr., who filmed a segment of his new TV show at her salon.
American candy maker and philanthropist Milton Snavely Hershey was born September 13, 1857. Without him we wouldn’t have the Hershey Bar or Hershey’s Kisses. And wouldn’t that be sad.
“I want clients to feel like they’re hanging out at a friend’s apartment, not at a typical nail salon,” says Molly Reckman, owner of Spruce Natural Nail Shop in Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood.
Enough with the fancy hairdos already. These striking nail images were submitted by the five finalists who vied to become NAHA’s 2016 Nail Professional of the Year. Each entrant was asked to demonstrate her skill at embellishments, nail art, and salon style-inspired nails.

A raffle held at The Nail Tech Event of the Smokies raised $500 to support Thistle Farms, a Nashville, Tenn.-based charity dedicated to helping women who have survived prostitution, human trafficking, and addiction.
