A Look at Training for CND Education Ambassadors

You may be curious to know what all goes on at an update training event for CND Education Ambassadors. For a more detailed look at the goings on hit up my Instagram or Facebook page. Here’s an overview at the agenda:

Day one started mid-day with a tour of the relocated CND offices which are now merged into one location with the other Revlon Professional brands. This was followed by a thoughtfully provided box lunch from CND and registration for the event.

Walking in to the welcome reception was a visual treat for the #naileyes with live models as art wearing styles done by Team CND.

Following an amazing array of artistically presented food was a runway show featuring nails, new things to come, and speaker Erik Wahl. You can read about that here. The night ended with everyone nearly too excited to sleep with anticipation of the information and education to come!

Day two was presented in a clever, talk show-style with guest speakers and giveaways that made the learning really fun and interactive.

Doug Schoon was the first Tek Talk “guest” where he wowed us with 3-D images of the natural nail magnified to the point of viewing individual nail cells.

Doug’s segment was followed by some amazing visual representations of how some things work from Kristina Estabrooks and Roxanne Valinotti.

They both have a gift for helping create visual understanding of literal concepts so that as educators we can better explain these things to nail professionals and give them tools for educating their clients. There was also a “guest appearance” from Jan Arnold, Dave Valia (CND research Chemist) and Team CND.

The day wrapped up with an inspirational call to action from Jen Planck who is easily one of my favorite motivational speakers. It was great to see the CND LED lamp in person, learn some new science, better understand the working of Rescue RXx and meet Xpress5 top coat. You can see pictures and videos of everything on my Instagram and Facebook!!

Day three began with the first look at the Fall/Winter 2015 CND Lookbook that was going to be digitally launching on cnd.com later that day.

It’s always interesting to hear the backstage stories about Fashion Week and how things come together. We learned some new techniques which will be coming to you in classes this fall and were given a sneak peek at the colors for fall and winter! There was a fantastic full presentation from Jen Planck who just makes you want to stand up, do a fist pump, and conquer anything that dares to get in the way of your passion for nails! The day finished up with awards and closed to give us time to prepare for the farewell dinner.

Huge congrats to all the winners and a special congrats to Heather Davis for snagging CND North American Education Ambassador of the Year for 2015. It takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to go far enough above and beyond to be acknowledged as EA of the Year so if you know her be sure to salute her.

The farewell dinner rounded out the experience and left travels home the following day as the final leg of the trip. It is an experience that words do no justice to and I hope those of you that followed the week with me online had a good time being there in spirit.
