Encapsulating a design within acrylic couldn’t be simpler, says Biddle, a global educator who is part of EZ Flow’s U.K. team and creator of her own brand, called “be inspired.” This is one fun, retro design option, but you can also encapsulate glitter, skeleton leaves, material, multi-colored threads, and even hand-painted nail art.

Step 1. Prepare the nail plate before applying a sculpting form. Enhance the lunula by applying a thin later of white acrylic.

Step 2. Extend the nail bed with a custom-blended pink powder. Make sure this is opaque.

Step 3. Apply a thin clear layer extended to your free edge.

Step 4. When the free edge has cured, file the sidewalls straight, making sure you have a clean, smooth surface before applying your enhancements.

Step 5. Using resin, enhance the design by applying your sequins.

Step 6. Cap your design in clear.

Step 7. Finish the nail by filing and buffing to a high shine.
