Nail Art Studio: Doodle Nails

Jae’tte Burneo demonstrates how to do Doodle Nails.

Jae’tte Burneo demonstrates how to do Doodle Nails.

1. Using Gelish gel-polish in Arctic White, polish the entire nail with two coats; do not cure the second coat.

2. Using Gelish gel-polish in Pop-Arrazzi Pose, place a few scattered drops of the color into the uncured Arctic White gel.  Using the Gelish Dotting Marbling Tool, swirl your tool through the pink creating a clouding/marbling effect. Cure.

3. Using the same Gelish gel-polish in Pop-Arrazzi Pose, lightly dab a bit of the pink in some of the already pink colored areas to create a shade darker to add depth. Cure.

4. Using Gelish gel-polish in Arctic White, create stars — only a couple with a few very tiny dots using the Gelish Mini Gel Striper Brush. Cure.

5. Using a fine-tipped brush and black acrylic paint, create your “doodle.” Begin with the eye, and doodle around it, still allowing some pink to show through. Using Gelish Gel Top it Off, top coat the entire nail. Cap all edges and free edge sides so that the doodling is protected by the top coat. Cure, then wipe using Gelish Nail Cleanse.
