If you’re finding it tough to staff your salon with qualified professionals, you’re not alone. In a nationwide survey of over 1,000 HR managers and recruiters, 86% reported that they find it challenging to find and hire technical talent and 53% said they hired people who weren’t exactly qualified because they needed to fill a position immediately, according to a December story on FastCompany.com. Recruiting site Indeed ranked jobs by the number of postings that went unfilled for more than 30 days and several beauty-related professions made the list. Barber came in at the top spot, with skin care specialist and massage therapist also ranking high on the list.
