On Saturday, June 2 before the Premiere Orlando Beauty Show, 300 nail techs gathered to participate in the NailTech Network Orlando Social, put on by BeautyTech.com and NAILS Magazine.
More than 50,000 attendees cruised the aisles at this year’s Premiere Orlando. They came to shop, to learn, to compete, to network, and to have some fun!
It requires a lot of talent and a little bit of nerve to take on the world’s greatest masters. These bold nail artists rolled up their sleeves, gathered their finest brushes, and attempted to re-create a famous work of art on a nail tip to compete in this year’s Mini-Masterpiece Contest.

This year's City of Hope Spirit of Life Award honoree was OPI's George Schaeffer. At a party in his honor this past Saturday night, more than 1,700 guests were treated to the soulful stylings of Reverend Al Green and Aretha Franklin. And true to Schaeffer's gift for surprise, we all also got to see him marry his long-time girlfriend Irina Afzal.
