Plan Now for a Nail Cruise Next Fall

The New Year is approaching fast and it is time to take a look at what is to come! What education are you thinking of for next year? Are you thinking of traveling to a show, visiting a class, participating in a networking event? I’m thinking of a nail cruise for something different. There are two to choose from per my knowledge, one done by Vicki Peters and the other by John Hauk. Now is the time to be considering a deposit and possible payment plan for one of them. Here is some info from each of them, which looks good to you?

Vicki Peters Nail That Profit at Sea (September 13-23, 2013 from Vancouver to Hawaii)

Q: I've seen your cruise mentioned on the Internet and in the trade mags, what's something most techs may not know that would pull us in?

A: We have been doing this cruise for over 20 years now and have special benefits we have earned from cruising for so long that others do not have. We offer a variety of education based on the needs of the attendees. I sometimes theme the cruises, offer nail competitions in a friendly environment, have guest speakers and we network like no other!

Q: A cruise to some implies party all night and hung over for class like many do at a trade show, do the techs who take the cruise seem to take it more seriously than some at a trade show?

A: We have had some major partiers over the years and yes I can tell some stories, but for the most part the cruisers take the education seriously because it’s an investment. We also make sure there is plenty of “vacation time” and we definitely enjoy ourselves. One thing I make sure we do is if there is a tech we know in port we do some salon visiting, which is cool.

Q: Is the cruise general education or more specific?

A: It is non-product specific for sure, with some product information of course. The sharing of techniques and information is powerful because we get all kinds of educators and techs who share their knowledge on what they use and why. I make it a priority to give the attendees what they need as far as education. I do get some product sponsorship with samples for the cruisers. Sometimes they need to bring an extra suitcase to take it all home! I try to offer the latest and hottest products on the market and provide education on the products as well.

Q: What are the standard attendance numbers? Is it big or more intimate?

A: We have had as many as 160 attendees and as small as 40. We also have friends who cruise with us every year that are friends of techs who have sailed with us. We have made them part of the NTP family.

Q: Is it more like a tradeshow or a networking event?

A: Networking for sure. Strong bonds and new friendships are made on board the NTP Cruises. It’s very cool when we all see each other at shows after sailing. It is a special educational vacation of sorts and we experience so many good times that are treasured forever.

Q: How do techs get more info?

A: Call Ship To Shore, my cruise partner at (800) 809-6623 or visit my website at http://vickipeters.com/Nail_Cruise.html and click on the NTP Cruise button.

John Hauk Cruise With the Nail Stars (September 29-October 6, 2013 in the Caribbean)

Q: I've seen your cruise mentioned on the Internet, what's something most techs may not know that would pull us in?

A: You need to know that this is the biggest and best nail event in history! You’ll get to sail on the world’s largest cruise ship (Oasis) and eat in the world’s largest dining room, while getting to see demos and hands-on training by eight of the world’s greatest nail stars! We are also having two “World Nail Competitions” with no entry fee. Not to mention all the great things that go with this like beaches, sunshine, drinks poolside, casino, big show entertainment, crazy good food, rubbing elbows with the stars all week long (which is priceless), product freebies. Plus, it’s a tax write-off while you’re having the time of your life!

Q: A cruise to some implies party all night and hung over for class like many do at a trade show, do you hope for techs to take the cruise more seriously than some at a trade show?

A: This event is for every nail professional (novice or veteran) and salon owner out there. Royalty Beauty is proud to bring you the best nail experience in history. These nail stars are passionate and serious about their craft. They are the best at what they do. It’s up to you to take from it what you want and need.

Q: Is the cruise general education or more product specific?

A: The education is mixed — we will cover everything from A to Z about nails and nail life. We’ll cover gels, wraps, acrylic, e-file, how to file, prep, sanitation, disinfection, salon life, salon menus, speed sets, backfills, product knowledge, being camera ready, nail art, competition, manicures, pedicures, and so much more.

Q: Will it be more like a trade show or a networking event?

A: It is more like a networking event with some of the benefits of a trade show. You can network, get hands-on training from the best, watch the best demos and presentations, and get special price breaks on featured products sent to your door( no hassle of carrying product home). Plus World Nail Competitions, freebies and prizes!

Q: How do techs get more info?

A: You can find all info on our Facebook page “CruisewiththeNailStars” and websites www.JohnHauk.com or CruisewiththeNailStars.com. http://cruisewiththenailstars.com/
