The next time you attend a training event, make time to talk with the instructor or send a quick e-mail when you return home. Even better, send a thank you note, say Robin Gibbons and NAILS’ contributing editor Erin Snyder Dixon, co-authors of Salon Success, Tweaks & Tips, Building the Highly Effective Salon & Spa. “Make a point to develop a working relationship with trainers in the industry,” they say. “Get you name on their e-mail list. Let the trainer know what worked for you and what didn’t work well.” Trainers are a great resource for in-house training events. When you have questions about products or services, the trainer will be a valuable contact.
