A Surprise Celebration for VIP Clients

A longtime client shows off her surprise gift: a bottle of her favorite wine and a hand-written card.

Every month, one lucky patron of Salon Bleu is celebrated as a VIP and given a personalized gift. “We surprise them at one of their salon appointments, then give them the gift and take a picture to celebrate them on social media as well,” says Tammy Coakley, owner of Salon Bleu’s two Illinois locations. “The gift could be anything from a bottle of wine to a gift card for their favorite restaurant. One guest we chose loves his dogs, and we knew they were going to be in his upcoming wedding. So we bought him little bow ties for the dogs to wear at the ceremony.”

VIP guests are chosen by team members, though Coakley may also check the computer for longtime clients deserving of a special treat. “At the end of the day, the team members lead this program,” Coakley says. “They know the guests and know what will make them smile.”
