Since 1988, Aerovex Systems has developed innovative products to provide proper ventilation appropriate for all salon chemical services. “The One That Works” salon air purifier has been on duty for 25 years, eliminating air pollution in thousands of nail and beauty salons throughout the world. It is designed specifically to remove nail salon vapors and dust and replace them with fresh air throughout the salon.
Aerovex Systems, a founding member of the Professional Keratin Smoothing Council, is also developer of the Chemical Source Capture System, designed specifically to remove formaldehyde vapors from hairstylists’ and clients’ breathing zones during keratin hair smoothing services.
“We strive to protect the respiratory health of nail technicians and hairstylists by offering a three-zone protection approach to salon ventilation, including source capture ventilation, salon room air purification, and proper heating and air conditioning (HVAC) filtration, designed specifically for salons,” says company president Jeff Cardarella.
The One That Works has been a top-five winner of NAILS’ Readers Choice Award for Ventilation Systems every year since the award’s inception in 2004.
Now Aerovex is unveiling a new, state-of-the-art Nails Source Capture Ventilation System featuring “Healthy Air” technologies. “It’s an affordable, highly effective, extremely user-friendly and quiet source capture system that is now available to protect the respiratory health of nail technicians and their clientele,” says Cardarella.
Developed at M.I.T., Healthy Air utilizes an advanced eHEPA technology to capture submicron airborne particles as well as microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungi with efficiencies exceeding standard HEPA-grade filters. It can kill these microorganisms at extremely high rates with the application of an energy field that permeates throughout the filter media. Healthy Air also utilizes an advanced activated-carbon filter in combination with the energy field to provide sufficient dwell time to effectively adsorb/decompose VOCs and odor.
