"Backscratchers: The Next Decade" was the theme of Backscratchers’ 10th annual corporate conference held at the company’s headquarters in Sacramento, Calif. Backscratchers’ technical sales consultants and regional sales managers attended the four-day conference to discuss new sales strategies and products. In a keynote speech, company vice president Michael Megna identified salon sanitation as Backscratchers’ top product priority and promised “a renewed dedication to industry-leading education and customer service.”

Owners Jack and Michael Megna honored long-time employees at a black tie dinner and dance. Service Award recipients included Don Ambler, warehouse manager (eight years); Colleen Spak, director of education (five years); and Bob Irwin, regional sales manager (five years). Also honored for five years of service were Kristy Banh, Sheri Frentz, and Vivian Henry, along with numerous three-year employees.
