First-timer:Lysa Comfort has been doing nails since 1986. She started her own electric file company, Comfort Concepts, in 1995 and merged with EZ Flow in 1999, where she is now the company’s electric file division director and an international master artist. This was Lysa’s first time doing a cover for NAILS.
Finding time: Lysa stopped working in a salon in 1995 after starting her company and having carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists. But the busy educator still makes time to see about 15 core clients who have been with her since the beginning. “I usually see clients all day on Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.,” says Lysa. She spends a few hours each week in the office and travels around the world doing Electric File Academy sessions and EZ Flow’s four-day educator training sessions. Her last frequent flyer statement logged more than 26,000 miles for one month and last year she flew close to 175, 000 miles!

More than drills: “When I began working at EZ Flow, I was primarily handling anything related to the drill division”, says Lysa. “Now I do a lot of the education that is not related to electric files. I educate on all of our products and I help with new product development.” For this month’s cover, we picked up a neat piece of fabric and asked Lysa to replicate it on the nails. Her interpretation is shown on this month’s cover model.
