Customer Service: Going the Extra Mile

At Ouidad Salon by Chadwick and Igor, clients are given the opportunity to beautify their car while they beautify themselves. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., salon — which specializes in curly hair — offers a service called Curls and Bubbles that includes a carwash and detailing. “Our guests are so thankful for the timesaving and convenience of this service that they are pre-booking it for their next visit,” says salon co-owner Igor Araujo.

The cars are washed onsite in the salon’s back parking lot. “When the service is complete, a flyer is left hanging from the rear view mirror thanking the client for using the service and introducing her to the many services available to her at her next appointment,” Araujo says. “The team at the salon has also been trained to ask arriving guests if they would like to have their car washed while having their curls cared for.” In addition, clients receive emails and text messages about the service, and it’s promoted on the salon’s social media channels.

The service adds to the overall feeling of luxury at Ouidad. “We also provide snacks, and every hour we bring a tray of rosé and champagne through the salon for our guests 21 and older,” he notes.
