CPAC Equipment, Inc. has released a new version of its RapidHeat Pro11 tabletop steamless sterilizer with 50% more capacity than comparable steam sterilizers. The Pro11 uses FDA-approved high-velocity hot air technology created by RapidHeat to complete its cleaning cycle in as quickly as six minutes. Because the sterilizer uses no water or steam, the Pro11 has no drying cycle. It requires minimal maintenance and comes with a three-year parts and labor warranty. The product is designed for long-term service and environmental sustainability.
The company conducted independent lab tests showing the sterilizer uses 85% less energy than similar sterilizers that use steam. The company adds that waterless sterilization does not cause instrument corrosion that may be seen with steam sterilization.
