Expert pedicurist Gloria L. Williams has her own line of foot care products.

Footnanny founder Gloria L. Williams knows a thing or two about pampering clients’ feet and elevating the standard pedicure service. “Creating a foot massage add-on menu is a great way for nail professionals to increase their bottom line,” says Williams. “Today’s spa-goer is looking for stress relief and will be open to wonderful, affordable upgrades to their nail services.”

Here are some tips from Williams on how to introduce extended foot massage services to your clients:

1. Let your clients know 30 days prior to unveiling your new foot massage menu. Use this time to build excitement and anticipation.

2. Offer at least three to five different types of foot massage treatments to tempt customers. For example: hot stone, warm cream, paraffin, reflexology, and aromatherapy.

3. Offer the massages at a variety of price points — $1 to $2 per minute is common. The add-on services should take a minimum of 15 minutes.

4. Include organic tea or a specialty drink with each massage.

5. Offer your clients a complimentary 15-minute foot massage upgrade on their birthday.
