Our salon has nine nail technicians, so normally someone will have an opening for a walk-in. You can’t accommodate walk-ins if you don’t have enough technicians available. We’re usually able to seat a walk-in within an hour, Or if she can’t wait, nine times out of 10 she will make an appointment for later Our receptionist distributes walk-ins and she’s very fail Whoever has the service time available to devote to the walk-in will take her. We have an agreement among ourselves to take turns when it comes to walk-ins. If it’s my turn to take a walk-in and one comes in, for example, at 11. 40 a.m and I have a 12:00 p.m. appointment but I have a 1:00 p.m. opening, I’ll ask her if she wants to come back then. If she can’t, I’ll call my 12:00 appointment and see if she can come at 1: 00.I don’t do tins every time, just on occasion.
