Salon Gives Clients Personalized Welcome Sign

At Elan Hair Studio, a full-service salon located in Sea Girt, N.J., they’ve learned that a little personalization goes a long way in keeping clients happy. “The welcome signs at our stations are hot!” says owner Kellie Johnson. Salon staff members greet every client with a handwritten ceramic sign bearing the client’s name. The white, ceramic dry-erase stands can be changed quickly and easily for every visitor. “The entire team had to buy in on it. We knew it was a great personalized touch, but we also knew it could go horribly wrong if we had the wrong name or even if it was spelled incorrectly,” says Johnson. “Our clients love it. When we send our feedback forms asking about the favorite part of their experience, the personalized welcome plates are always mentioned.”
