Senior Specials

“I used to offer a 10% discount on any service for seniors,” says Shari Finger, owner of Finger’s Nail Studios in W. Dundee, Ill. “I had the offer displayed on our service menu and on the website, but no one ever used it.” So Finger designed a simple menu just for her older clientele. Some of the senior services are also offered on her regular menu — like enhancements — but at a small discount. Other services are exclusive to the senior menu — like an Arthritis-Relief Mani or a Toenail Trim.

“We offer pedicures on the floor for clients with mobility problems — there’s no need to climb into a spa chair or lift their legs. We help our seniors with everything, including walking in and out of the salon,” she says. “The biggest challenge is trying to figure out if a client is old enough, because you don’t want to insult anyone.”
