Our salon is in a resort area so to generate business when we opened last June, we offered a free nail service to all of the women who work at the front desk of each resort. The promotion served a dual purpose. Not only did some of the women become regular clients, but they also spread the word about our salon to other people as well.

In another promotion, which I offered for two days, I enlisted the help of the surf shop next door. I gave free nail art to every customer who bought a T-shirt.

I offer a free paraffin dip in August and September to my regular clients. It’s important to recondition and rehydrate nails and skin prior to fall and winter. This helps to prevent dehydration and brittle nails, which, in turn, leads to less nail breaks and chapped skin.
