At Tiger Claws Nail Salon of Fitchburg, Wis., the clients are a sweaty bunch, but they’re also extra-deserving of a little TLC. The year-old salon is housed within MadPower Training Center, which offers high-intensity fitness classes, yoga, and personal training. “I got the idea to put a salon within my fitness center because it’s a hot studio where everyone works out barefoot,” explains studio owner Amy Sanborn. “My clientele is approximately 70% women and almost everyone gets manicures and pedicures, so it just seemed like a perfect fit. People come in for a workout and stay for a glass of wine and a pedicure.”

The salon also provides waxing services. Pedicures are the most popular service, followed by gel manicures. MadPower Training is a private facility, and most nail salon clients are members, although non-members are welcome to schedule appointments at the nail salon.
“Our nail techs enjoy the very relaxed atmosphere,” says Sanborn. “We have two techs currently and they are both exceptionally talented.”
