 “I’m normally skeptical when I hear that something is free, but I checked into it and it’s true,” says nail tech Jill Wright, who used Wix to build a mobile site for her Nail Tech Networking Event of the Smokies. Wix is a do-it-yourself website builder for creating and customizing your own web presence — website, Facebook page, and mobile site. “Wix also allows you to upgrade to more pages, widgets, and such, which they charge for. But the free websites have tons of template options and the mobile websites are graphically amazing and are easy to read on small screens like the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, and Android,” says Wright. “Plus the great thing is that any tech can create one for her business and text it to all her clients. You can add photos of your nail art, prices, contact info, etc.”
