Week 5: Forming the ’50s
Posted October 11, 2013
This week’s challenge is sponsored by NSI, whose founder Fred Slack invented the nail form in 1957. Our Top 8 contestants were tasked with using nail forms to sculpt nails harkening back to the 1950s.
Creating a ’50s-inspired design using nail forms on each finger, we asked our Top 8 to create a look on at least one full hand (of an actual person). In addition, we asked them to shoot step-by-step photos of their nail looks and upload them to their Nail Art Gallery profiles and pin the looks on Pinterest. They can use any products they want as long as they sculpt nail enhancements using forms.
Our judges will be looking over the entries with a fine tooth comb and scoring our top designs and our least favorite designs. We also want to know what you have to say. Vote for your favorite artist to make sure they stay in the competition. (You can vote one time per contestant each week.)
Voting will be open until Wednesday, October 16 at noon PST. We’ll announce the results of Week #5’s challenge (the winner and who is eliminated) on Friday, October 18.
Don’t let your favorite nail artist go home! Make sure to vote and tell all of your friends to vote too!
