CDC Announces New Guidelines for Nail Salons

On Monday, the CDC released new guidelines for nail salon employers and employees reopening in the wake of COVID-19. 

Employer information for nail salons includes:

> Creating a COVID-19 Workplace Health and Safety Plan

> Identify where and how workers might be exposed to COVID-19 at work

> Develop hazard controls using the hierarchy of controls to prevent infection among workers

> Adjusting work stations to maintain safe distances

> Removing chairs from waitng areas

> Changing the way people work

> PPE

> Educating employees about steps they can take to protect themselves at work and at home

> Take actions to create a healthy place of business for employees and clients
