Raising the Bar On Salon Decor

Nail tech Jae'tte Burneo created this barcode artwork for a Southern California salon.

Former salon owner Jae’tte Burneo knows a thing or two about decorating a space. Burneo hand painted a barcode for The Nail Story in Lake Forest, Calif., to adorn the salon’s wall. “It represents raising the bar,” says Burneo of her minimal yet colorful work of art. The accents of the salon are in bright pops of color (similar to those in the barcode), while the rest remains white so that small pieces like pillows can be changed out seasonally.
