Nubar was on hand when PetSmart Charities announced a gift of $14 million to the city of Los Angeles.

Hickeys Host Poker Showdown. The third-annual Poker Showdown hosted by Emmett and Beth Hicky and the NCA took place July 14 at the Palms Casino and Resort, home of Bravo’s “Celebrity Poker Showdown.” The event raised over $13,000 for the NCA Disaster Relief Fund in support of Hairdressers Unlocking Hope.

Nubar Supports PetSmart Charities. Nubar was on hand when PetSmart Charities announced a gift of $14 million to the city of Los Angeles. The announcement was celebrated at the Party for the Pets even held in August at private estate in Los Angeles. All 200 guests – including Carol Connors, Charlene Tilton, and “Deal or No Deal’s” Leyla Milani – left with a plentiful gift bag that included Nubar’s Sexy Red nail lacquer.

Britney Wears EZ Flow, ibd and Seche. Manicurist Kimmie Kyees visited Britney Spears at her Malibu home in September to give her a pair of perfect pink-and-whites using the EZ Flow High Definitino Acrylic System, some ibd tips, and Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. Kyees accented the smile line with pink and baby blue rhinestones. “This was the fourth time I did her nails. She never wears color so it’s always pink-and-white acrylics.” Says Kyees. “She was pretty quiet. Britney has a very sweet charm about her.”

Priti Makes Emmy-Goers Pretty. Priti polish and polish remover were used on celebrity guests and in the gift bags at the Emmy’s Green Spa. The polishes are DBP- toluene-, and formaldehyde-free and the biodegradable polish remover is made from corn and soy.

Dunbar Treats the Ladies of the WNBA. Nail tech Maisie Dunbar (left) had a busy summer, lending her special skills to two high-profile events: a spa day for the WNBA’s Washington Mystics and a spa day on behalf of Nike during the WNBA All-Star weekend.
