Vermont Changes Salon Manager License Requirements

The Vermont State Board of Cosmetology has modified its licensing requirements for salon managers.

The Vermont State Board of Cosmetology has modified its licensing requirements for salon managers to allow more licensees to qualify. Now nail technicians or cosmetologists who have 4,000 hours of experience in the past five years may apply for a salon manager’s license. Previously, only licensees with a minimum of two years’ immediate experience could apply for a salon manager’s license. To apply, send an application to the State Board with an affidavit signed by your employer or other individual who can vouch for your experience.
