“When my business partner had to move somewhere else and I stayed by myself at the salon, I thought it was a good time for some redecoration,” says Ulrika Lakkotrypi of Larnaca, Cypress. The nail salon had a bold red, orange, and pink color scheme. Lakkotrypi took the opportunity to go for something more calm, neutral, and light. She was hoping for Tiffany blue, but fell in love with the teal, gray, and yellow scheme instead. Re-painting furniture she already had allowed her to save money. Reupholstering chairs and adding wallpaper to the back of the shelves made the salon look like a whole new space.
