DOT — Data. Organizing. Tracking. That’s the acronym behind the Dot Organizer created by nail tech Colleen VanDurme of Premiere Salon in Dansville, N.Y. “I created this organizer for myself to help me be more organized when it came to doing taxes,” she says. “I showed it to my accountant and he suggested I try to market it. It’s been a work in progress for the past two years, with the help of some of my fellow nail professionals, and I believe I finally have a good format that works well for everyone.” The Dot Organizer is not just for nail professionals though, it works equally well for others in the beauty industry including hairstylists and massage therapists.

The organizer comes in a handy, portable 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” format and is broken down into 10 categories: calendar, appointments, expenses, monthly worksheet, year-end worksheet, client info, industry info, inventory, gift certificate log, and supply list. “I’m also working on a larger version that contains more information, as well as other versions of the smaller organizer,” says VanDurme.
