“Why would you want to be a nail technician?” Someone asked me this question with a puzzled look on his face. “Why would you, being a chemist, even want to go do something like that?” He asked me that question as if to say that I was lowering my standards to become a nail technician. My instructor really stresses the importance of spending time with our client to go over the consultation form. That is our way of getting to know the client and his/her expectations, prior experiences at nail salons, what’s going on with him/her medically, etc.
