News From CND

by NAILS Magazine | January 29, 2010 | Bookmark +

Yesterday I had a meeting with CND’s co-founder and style director Jan Arnold and education ambassadors Roxanne Valinoti and Kristina Estabrooks. They filled me in on CND’s The Look Spring/Summer 2010 trends. The big trend is called Sugar Buzz and they’ve launched a new Colour called Sweet and a new Effect called Sugar Sparkle. This pair is only around for a limited time, so make sure to get it while it’s hot. Once it sells out, it won’t be available any more. The pink is a great cotton candy “poppy” pink.

CND will be backstage at Fall Fashion Week (taking place in February) once again, creating tons of cool nails for the models of top designer shows. I got a sneak peak of some of the hot colors and looks for fall and they’re pretty cool. You can follow Jan’s behind the scenes Fashion Week blog to be some of the first to see what will be popular this fall.

Did you know CND held an Online Nail Style Competition and the winner, Anna Nelson, got an all-expense paid trip to Fashion Week? She’ll be able to see what goes on behind the scenes and she’ll also get to sit out front with Jan to watch the shows. Look for her winning design in the March issue of NAILS.

The last thing they showed me is still under wraps and top secret…but CND will be launching a new product in May. We’ll be the first to bring it to you in the May issue of NAILS. For now all I’m allowed to say is that it will change the way you look at nail color. They’ve been working on it in the lab for the last five years and are very excited about it. I think you will be too! Sorry to be such a tease, but as soon as we can reveal it, we will.

We’ll all be attending ISSE Long Beach this weekend…so next week should be packed with good information and new products!
