And to Top It All Off!

There are so many things going on in my life right this second — and I think I've already mentioned that I'm not much of a multi-tasker — my head is spinning like I've been riding the teacups too long. For one thing, I finally broke down and upgraded my computer — which not only means going through the usual pain of readjusting settings and preferences and installing and uninstalling software, but getting used to a whole new operating system again. And don't even bother telling me to get a Mac. For one thing, you're just preaching to the choir, I knew I should have been a Mac girl before the Internet even came to town! Remember, once upon a time, I intended to become a graphic artist! But one thing led to another and two decades later I'm blogging from the seventh PC I've called my own.

At least this one is sporting an I'm-Not-Really-A-Waitress-red cover, which, for the record, doesn't look that much like the polish.

Speaking of my graphic arts goals of yore, I've also been working on some company branding. Namely, getting my logo worked out. Which, I guess by now, you've seen. That was demanding a significant amount of my brain's resources. At least I think it's finished now and I can go on obsessing about other business matters.

All while the BF, the dogs, and I prepare to move to a new home, go to the other side of the country for a week, and somewhere in there I turn 40.

Have I mentioned I'm going to miss IBS Las Vegas this year?

And to top it all off, I ordered about a zillion rhinestones. And of course, they come in tiny little cellophane envelopes. Cellophane is not static-free. So I was trying to pour the rhinestones from the little cellophane bags into the little containers I keep my rhinestones in and I now have more rhinestones stuck in my carpet than I do in my little containers. How do you do this? Is there a trick? The little buggers jump like fleas!

That's it! Remember "flea circuses"? I'm gonna have a rhinestone circus. I'll train ’em to jump through little flaming hoops and stuff. Yeah. That's my new plan. Seeing as how it seems about impossible to train them to jump into my little containers.

Have I also mentioned I haven't had a good night's sleep in two weeks? Rhinestone circus — sounds plausible.

At least the taxes are mailed. Surprisingly enough, that went off without a hassle.
