Blueprint of a First Year

Tickled Pink's First Hire

The first couple of weeks since our opening have been amazing! We still don’t have our exterior building sign, since the town won’t approve it until our common complex signage is complete. But I found out from one of the other building vendors that the common signage has been approved so it shouldn't be long now before we can get our own building sign permit. And our initial state board inspection has not been done yet so we're still operating on the temporary salon license. But the salon is in order and ready.

On opening day I had the pleasure of interviewing a new graduate from one of our local nail schools, Troutman's College of Manicuring. I love the idea of giving opportunity to a new tech just out of school. She did a fantastic job on the pedicure she performed as part of her interview. Since I do a LOT of pedicures this was the most important part of the interview. So Lucia Gomez is now working at Tickled Pink. She's been a wonderful addition to Tickled Pink from day one. We’ll be translating our literature to Spanish so Lucy can market to the local Hispanic community.
